Commentary:
Here's an instance where
someone bought something from me on Ebay (in this case a
river) and then custom ordered some extra stuff to go
with it. I'm more than happy to do stuff like
this. The main reason I don't trick out stuff on
Ebay is because, for some reason, I don't get any more
money for a river with a bridge than I do with just a
river. I will beat out my competitors generally,
but so what. In any case, he wanted the river just
a wee bit longer (10" section if I remember right) and
I'm sure that he's playing rivers as impassible, which I
know a lot of people do, which makes bridges and fords
all that much more necessary. Great.
I made the bridge out of a
bunch of pieces, just to let you know. What I
wanted was something that was wide enough to let an army
cross over it and long enough so that it would clear the
river easily. Both of which it does. In
addition, I decorated the posts on either side
differently. The imperial side of the bridge has
the standard conical ornament. The side that faces
the wastes of chaos is decorated with the gargoyles.
Lastly, occasionally I'm in
such a hurry to get the thing out the door that the
pictures are a bit rushed, as they are in this case.
I don't think it's my best photographic work or
anything, but I thought people might enjoy seeing this
kind of custom order.
