A Custom Order

The Army (ies):

Eldar

What was ordered:

  • Warp Gate
  • Small Hill

Commentary:

This was actually pretty interesting because the customer wanted a very specific piece.  This.

So, what don't they tell you?  Well, first of all, you can make those circular cut outs a lot quicker with a drill.  I recommend very highly that you don't try to score plastic in a circle.  You're likely to take off a finger.  Plus, it won't look clean like a drill will.  Same goes for the straight lines.  Use a Dremel.

Also, the Styrofoam insulation that they recommend, at that thickness, has little holes covering it, so you're going to want to coat that with a thin layer of spackle.  Also, where did they get that gem?  Man, Eldar gems don't have facets.  Hit up your local Michaels.

So, there's that.
